Project Planning Co-op
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all Hanwha Philly Shipyard safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met.
- Assist Project Planning in their weekly production support activities.
- Create and modify Project Planning Support Drawings (AutoCAD).
- Create, modify, and update schedule progress reports.
- Data management through ERP/SAP program and Hanwha Philly Shipyard’s scheduling software Primavera P6.
- Reproduce design and production drawings and Design Change Notices (DCNs).
- Support department in miscellaneous technical projects.
- Temporarily support the shipyard’s Hull Design (structure), Outfitting and Electrical Design, Production, Procurement or Quality Control Departments in various ship production activities.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED Equivalent.
- Preferred College Majors: Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology.
- Proficiency with MS Office and 2D CAD systems, such as AutoCAD.
- Knowledge, experience, or interest concerning modern shipbuilding practices.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Adaptability and organizational skills.
- Integrity and strategic thinking.
- Willingness and ability to work as a team member.
Work Environment
Although the majority of the time will be spent in an office environment, regular field work in the shipyard’s fabrication shops, dry docks, and on-board vessels is expected. Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes, and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions. Hanwha Philly Shipyard is a tobacco-free facility.

Schedule
This is an on-site, full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department and are determined by department schedules.
