Project Operations Accountant

Summary

Mortenson’s Wind Operating Group is seeking a Project Operations Accountant to support construction projects.

Responsibilities

- Review construction contract requirements and perform budget allocations. - Assist with contract requirements such as certified payroll reporting, minority participation reporting, and maintaining project insurance. - Process receivables and payables, ensuring favorable cash flow and compliance with tax regulations. - Conduct project cost analyses and prepare specialized reporting. - Manage labor costs and ensure compliance with local labor laws. - Provide technical support and assist with audits and physical inventory procedures.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration or equivalent experience. - Minimum of 3 years of construction accounting experience. - Detail-oriented and organized with experience supporting multiple projects. - Knowledge of percentage of completion accounting and construction contracts is helpful. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems like Textura and Oracle. - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $72,900-$109,400, with higher ranges for certain locations. Base pay is determined based on qualifications and experience.
