Project Manager, Workplace Experience (Based in San Francisco)

The Workplace Experience (WE) team shapes how employees connect to Gap Inc. through our spaces, services, and shared experiences. From our headquarters and hub locations to distribution centers, WE brings together facilities, food, travel, events, and workplace strategy to deliver a seamless and inspiring employee experience.
This role will play a critical role in bridging strategy and execution across this diverse portfolio. The Workplace Experience Project Manager will work directly with the Head of Workplace Experience and the WE Leadership Team (WELT) to drive alignment, streamline decision-making, and ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.
The role requires a strong ability to manage complexity, connect cross-functional workstreams, and translate vision into disciplined execution. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong project management expertise, and a bias toward action; someone who can operate at both a high level and in the details to help scale and evolve the workplace experience at Gap Inc.
Responsibilities
- Drive execution of Workplace Experience strategies and initiatives from concept-to-launch, implementing processes, systems, and tools that ensure alignment across functions, geographies, and workstreams.
- Partner closely with the Head WE and WELT to translate vision into actionable plans, manage priorities, and track progress against key goals.
- As a central connector across Workplace Experience functions, drive alignment on priorities, timelines, and dependencies while ensuring seamless execution across cross-functional initiatives.
- Centralize project tracking, documentation, and communication through project management systems to ensure visibility, transparency, and consistency across initiatives.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and elevate the workplace experience, connecting day-to-day operations with long-term strategy through insights and data.
- Manage annual planning rhythms, including calendars, budgets, and key operational cadences across Workplace Experience in partnership with the Head of WE and admin support.
Requirements
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex, cross-functional work into clear, actionable plans and influence alignment across diverse partners.
- Strong strategic and systems thinking; able to connect workplace operations, employee experience, and business goals while identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities across multiple workstreams.
- Proven project management expertise with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, balancing long-term strategy with detailed execution.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and problem-solving capability; navigates ambiguity and drives progress across competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience leading through change, with the ability to drive clarity, alignment, and momentum across evolving strategies, initiatives, and ways of working.
- Experience working in highly cross-functional environments, ideally within workplace, operations, real estate, hospitality, or related functions, with comfort supporting senior executives and leadership teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management, facility management, or a similar role.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects and initiatives across multiple departments.
- Strong understanding of workplace design principles, ergonomics, and employee engagement strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Gap Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $136,700.00 - $177,700.00, with employee pay varying based on qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies, and work location. Additional benefits include:
