Project Manager - Water/Wastewater (Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Oklahoma City)

About the role

Strong project managers are essential to our success. We're looking for a project manager to lead some of the industry's best engineers while executing highly technical, complex engineering water projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline engineering projects from concept to completion, including overall safety, quality, risk, engineering, procurement, construction, environmental compliance, and financials.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Leverage existing client relationships, create new client relationships, and focus on repeat work within each client account.
• Support business strategy for developing new business opportunities.
• Proactively identify and position Burns & McDonnell for upcoming projects and opportunities.
• Provide guidance and industry feedback or trends to the water leadership team.
• Provide mentorship as well as formal and informal training for the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field from an accredited program required (15 years preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience (15 years preferred) in design engineering.
• Previous consulting and project management experience preferred.
• Professional Registration in the state of Texas (ability to obtain Texas registration is acceptable).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to devise new approaches to problems encountered.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, able to work overtime on short notice.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
• Capable of working collaboratively with others in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
