About the role

We are RH Price, a leading provider of water and wastewater construction services in central southern North Carolina. Our projects aim to ensure reliable access to water and wastewater utilities with minimal disruptions, making a positive impact on communities.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities to ensure objectives are accomplished within prescribed funding and scheduling parameters (coordinate preconstruction meetings, schedule subcontractors).
  • Prepare and submit pay applications, submittals, change orders, and any other required project-related communication.
  • In-depth review of all essential elements of assigned projects to identify challenges or opportunities to realize.
  • Review drawings and specifications for constructability, completeness, and accuracy. Issues to be addressed with management at weekly meetings.
  • Cookordination with superintendent on the allocation of shared resources such as personnel and equipment.
  • Ensure and enforce all on-site compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements and company policies.
  • Order and schedule delivery or pickup materials for the project as required. Review corresponding invoices to verify quantities delivered and pricing.
  • Project closeout / punch list / warranty work
  • Field work responsibilities may include, but are not limited, to:
    • Survey elevations and run levels to tie-in points (existing water, sewer, bores, etc.).
    • Layout pipe centerlines, manholes, valves, fire hydrants, bore pits, set up bores, etc.
    • Set-up traffic control measures, reference MUTCD and/or CDOT handbooks
    • Verify erosion control measures and maintain for duration of the project
    • Schedule and perform pipe testing, system connections, and assist with project staging
    • Daily reports – maintain and log general notes, measurements, quantities, etc.
    • 811 scheduling and documentation of utility cuts/damages

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, respectful, honest, clean appearance
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working directly with clients, property owners, material suppliers, subcontractors, and engineers
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or similar
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar field
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and algebraic proficiency
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, editing PDF files, and working with scheduling software
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a drug test
