Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

About the Role

Join our growing Water team in New York and New Jersey as a Water/Wastewater Engineer, where you'll work on exciting and challenging water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance and treatment projects. This role primarily supports senior engineers and project managers in delivering municipal water projects, offering opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on water, wastewater, and stormwater design projects.
• Participate in planning, cost development, management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
• Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians within the local and regional water group.
• Complete civil design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons, and similar tasks as required.
• Assist in developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Engage in professional organizations for marketing, industry recognition, networking, and building the Jacobs brand.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• At least 10 years of consulting experience for water and wastewater clients.
• Experience serving clients in drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems.
• Understanding of water and wastewater conveyance/treatment processes, master planning, and condition assessments.
• Willingness to learn Jacobs’ proprietary tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and AutoCAD/ESRI ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within one year (preferred).
• Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (preferred).
• Experience managing deliverables to scope, schedule, and budget (preferred).
• Experience providing services during construction (preferred).
• Involvement in professional or community organizations (preferred).

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Technical writing and clear, concise input for investigations and reports.
• Working knowledge of local and state design codes and standards.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $105,000.00 to $160,000.00. Individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Hybrid working policy, allowing a split between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
