About the role
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in planning, designing, permitting, and constructing drinking water and wastewater-related projects. The position involves leading client development and management, supported by regional offices and firm-wide technical resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Project management
- Supervising staff
- Leading business development activities including proposal preparation and presentations
- High-level client development and management in the Nashville, TN office
- Preparation of assessment and design reports
- Performing design calculations
- Equipment sizing/selection
- Preparation of construction documents and support for construction management/commissioning
- The primary focus will be projects in Tennessee
- Fieldwork and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the water/wastewater field
- Experience managing interdisciplinary teams to meet client needs
- Experience in successfully delivering projects with collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in planning, design, and construction for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Self-starter with attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in all MS Office-based computer software
- PE license required (TN preferred or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of employment)
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
