About the role

As the Project Manager, you will manage all aspects of small Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality. You will be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. You will provide for the successful staffing of the project and manage and lead small teams of multi-discipline professionals. You will coordinate and integrate the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all third party companies contributing to the initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Leading team efforts for marketing
  • Strategy development
  • Possession of professional engineer (PE) license
  • Experience on BIM developed projects
  • Development of project performance goals
  • Accountability for implementation
  • Active involvement with internal project team and owner project representatives on project activities
  • Perform or assist with the performance and commercial management of projects including budgeting, invoicing, and payments; lead project performance reviews for assigned project(s)
  • Team development, mentoring and coaching on performance improvement
  • Recommendations for training and promotion of assigned professionals as well as identification and development of new candidates to expand the Black & Veatch team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • 10+ years of civil engineering design services including conceptual planning, preliminary and final design in water and wastewater treatment; master planning; water main; water facilities; pump stations; and conveyance
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
