About the role

As a Water Conveyance Project Manager, you'll lead complex and meaningful conveyance projects, shape long-term client relationships, and influence the growth of our regional water practice. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of highly qualified and motivated engineers through the design process
  • Interact directly with clients to develop and deliver technical conveyance solutions
  • Mentor ambitious mid-level engineers
  • Act as a highly competent seller-doer empowered to develop and manage projects
  • Serve as a Project Manager/Design Manager leading a technical team, performing technical tasks, and coordinating resources to accomplish multiple, concurrent water infrastructure projects
  • Provide planning and design related management and technical support for various types of conveyance systems including open channel flow and low-pressure conduit, flow control structures, pump stations, and force mains
  • Conduct other water-related civil infrastructure evaluations
  • Support business development activities to grow the local conveyance group
  • Work with key clients resulting in acquisition of new projects
  • Effectively lead and manage project teams throughout all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout to meet scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements
  • Lead and mentor staff, form long-term relationships with clients, and pursue new work
  • Build water client portfolios including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) required or ability to obtain
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive civil engineering experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage scope, budget, schedule, and technical quality across complex infrastructure projects

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Experience serving various clients involving a wide variety of fields including conveyance pipeline design, project management, water/wastewater pump station design
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the design and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, studies, proposals and/or reports
  • Experience with Design-Build and/or EPC projects

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $145,000.00 to $195,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
