Fehr Graham is looking for a Project Manager to lead wastewater projects, ensuring efficient, profitable, and timely execution while maintaining client confidentiality and fostering business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage wastewater solutions projects, resolving scheduling, staffing, and quality issues to deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Design and develop wastewater treatment systems, collection systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports for municipal and industrial wastewater projects.
  • Perform hydraulic modeling, process design, and system optimization.
  • Apply expertise in anaerobic digestion of biosolids, including system design, evaluation, and optimization for treatment efficiency and energy recovery.
  • Support and guide projects involving biosolids management strategies, including anaerobic digestion processes, regulatory compliance, and operational best practices.
  • Engage in business development with clients in existing and new markets.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to co-workers and clients on sensitive and complex matters.
  • Lead projects utilizing staff and sub-consultant resources to ensure successful completion on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare client contracts, statements of qualifications, price proposals, and contracts.
  • Provide quality control for assigned projects and clients.
  • Work on complex projects and prepare documents and reports involving non-conventional planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field with appropriate experience.
  • 8 years of experience in engineering with 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Experience navigating Illinois Environmental Protection Agency regulations.
  • Proven client relationship management skills.
  • Familiarity with wastewater processes, methods, and state and federal requirements, including biosolids treatment and anaerobic digestion systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
