Overview
Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand their Transportation Planning/Traffic practice in Richmond, VA!
Responsibilities
- Creates a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of the transportation engineering practice
- Aids in marketing and business development efforts with existing local municipal, state, and private clients
- Delivers a wide variety of transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway, and/or ITS-related projects with a growing team of transportation professionals
- Beyond serving existing clients, pursues own passions, leads, and clients
- Leads, directs, and grows their business with great autonomy
- Manages projects profitably, transitions work to qualified staff, and grows and mentors staff
- Acts as a positive leader and mentor
Qualifications
- 12+ years of transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the local area
- Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
- Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
- Effective communication at all levels of the organization
- Manages and mentors staff and directs resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
