Overview

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand their Transportation Planning/Traffic practice in Richmond, VA!

Responsibilities

  • Creates a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of the transportation engineering practice
  • Aids in marketing and business development efforts with existing local municipal, state, and private clients
  • Delivers a wide variety of transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway, and/or ITS-related projects with a growing team of transportation professionals
  • Beyond serving existing clients, pursues own passions, leads, and clients
  • Leads, directs, and grows their business with great autonomy
  • Manages projects profitably, transitions work to qualified staff, and grows and mentors staff
  • Acts as a positive leader and mentor

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the local area
  • Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
  • Effective communication at all levels of the organization
  • Manages and mentors staff and directs resources effectively in a positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
