Project Manager, Transmission and Substation

Location: Pensacola, FL (Onsite) Schedule: Standard Duration: 12-Month W2 Contract Pay Rate: $65.00 - $69.00/hr Position Summary Our client is one of the largest electric utilities in the United States and serves millions of customers across Florida. The Project Manager, T&S will manage major transmission and substation projects in Northwest Florida, from budgetary approval through to being placed in service and closed out. You will lead a cross-functional project team including Engineering, CRE, Siting & Permitting, Legal, Environmental, ISC, Business Services, External Affairs, TSE Construction and T&S Operations to deliver projects to approved budgets and schedules. You will act in the company's best interest in managing all assigned activities. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Manage project execution from budgetary approval to completion for large, complex T&S major projectsLead project teams to meet approved budgets and schedulesOwn safety management across assigned projectsManage project schedules and budgetsDevelop project management plansIdentify and manage project risksHandle contract administrationDeliver project reporting and communicationsCollaborate with T&S Construction on the construction schedule, clearance planning and executionProvide monthly budget forecast spend reportsProduce and submit FERC compliance documentationSupport final job close outWork directly with T&S major project leadership to resolve project challenges Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related fieldProject Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred15+ years of experience leading Transmission & Substation or related projects Knowledge/Skills High-level engineering and project management expertiseKnowledge of FERC compliance requirementsStrong safety, schedule, budget, risk management and contract administration skills ...
