Project Manager, Tenant Improvement Construction

About the role

We are ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies. ARCO/Murray is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager for our Tenant Solutions team in Fort Lauderdale.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a wide variety of interior projects including tenant improvements, adaptive reuse, build-to-suit opportunities, and full conversions in the Industrial, Entertainment, and Commercial sectors.
  • Help grow the business in the South Florida market and contribute to strategic and client relations discussions at a high level.
  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budgets.
  • Participate in proposal meetings to review scope of work, discuss cost reduction, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts and fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout processes for all trades and vendors.
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure materials and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
  • Lead pre-construction planning meetings to solve potential constructability, sequencing, and manpower issues.
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to achieve desired results.
  • Track and manage project performance against budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports.
  • Find ways to make the construction process enjoyable for clients, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of construction management or engineering design experience, preferably for interior projects.
  • Previous experience leading ground-up commercial or industrial projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
