ARCO/Murray is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our Tenant Solutions team in Fort Lauderdale. This role involves managing diverse interior projects—tenant improvements, adaptive reuse, build-to-suit opportunities, and full space conversions—across Industrial, Entertainment, and Commercial sectors. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to business growth in the South Florida market and influence strategy and client relations at a high level.

About the role

As a Project Manager at ARCO, you will be empowered to drive project success and profitability from day one. You’ll lead all managerial and administrative aspects of projects, from preconstruction through closeout, while fostering a fun and collaborative environment for clients, subcontractors, and vendors—without compromising quality or safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Collaborate with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budgets.
  • Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, discuss cost-saving opportunities, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts and fees.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout processes for all trades and vendors.
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to procure materials or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to budget or schedule.
  • Work with the Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes, project schedules, and site logistics plans.
  • Lead preconstruction planning meetings to address constructability, sequencing, and manpower issues.
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to achieve desired results.
  • Track and manage project performance against budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status reports, and progress billing.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of construction management or engineering design experience, preferably for interior projects.
  • Previous experience leading ground-up commercial or industrial projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
