Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with project coordinators to manage material and subcontractor procurement, ensure prompt handling of engineering submittals, and address construction requirements efficiently.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
- Identify and report project risks, issues, and variances; assist in developing mitigation strategies, corrective actions, and recovery plans.
- Facilitate progress meetings and provide clear communication across all project stakeholders.
- Assist in project closeout activities, including timely demobilization, documentation, and lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field required OR minimum 7+ years of project management experience in Substation construction, utilities, or infrastructure.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Understanding construction project lifecycle, progress tracking, and cost management principles; ability to generate change orders themselves and manage them through execution; strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and other project management tools; ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; strong commitment to customer needs and project delivery excellence.
