Project Manager/Sr Highway Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Managing multiple transportation design projects with focus on client interactions
• Providing daily quality control
• Managing and training junior level engineers
• Aiding with business development
• Strategic Planning & Oversight
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans
• Ensure all roadway design and construction activities align with jurisdictional standards
• Oversee multiple phases of roadway projects—from conceptual planning to final design and construction
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders
• Lead presentations, public hearings, and meetings to communicate project goals and updates
• Address concerns and incorporate feedback into project development
• Financial & Contractual Management
• Manage contracts, billing, and collections to ensure project profitability
• Track expenditures and maintain strict cost control throughout the project life cycle

Minimum Requirements

• BSCE or BCE required
• 10+ years of highway design and 2+ years of project management experience required
• GA PE and GSWCC Level II certification required
• Experience with Bentley MicroStation V8 and MS Office applications required
• Experience with Bentley Open Roads Designer preferred
• Experience with Georgia DOT PDP preferred
