Highway Design Engineer / Project Manager
About the role
Join our talented team to support highway project delivery, working alongside an established team to expand our presence throughout the Florida Panhandle. Maintain close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion. Mentor staff as needed to provide a positive team environment. Maintain an understanding of relevant regulatory programs, funding requirements, design standards and procedures through active participation in continuing education programs and professional associations. Represent SEH with agencies at project and public meetings. Prepare project approaches, scopes and fees required to complete projects. Present proposals to clients and participate in project interviews. Conduct final inspection of construction projects. Provide expert-level field inspections for conformance with engineering plans and specifications.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida
- Minimum of six (5) years design experience
- Experience in highway design and construction of FDOT projects
- Active participation in professional organizations, conferences and technical publications
- Previous experience with a Civil Engineering Consulting firm doing design or project management

Skills
Knowledge of relevant regulatory programs, funding requirements, design standards and procedures through active participation in continuing education programs and professional associations. Proficiency in Microstation/GeoPak/ORD (Open Roads Designer).
Benefits
