Project Manager - Roofing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Roofing Project Manager to oversee residential roofing projects from start to finish. This role is approximately 80% project management/supervision and 20% hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Manage roofing projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate homeowners, crews, materials, dumpsters, and deliveries.
• Arrive onsite by 7:00 AM and oversee daily production.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Inspect work to ensure quality workmanship and manufacturer specifications are met.
• Communicate with homeowners, handle change orders, and conduct final walkthroughs.
• Collect progress and final payments.
• Maintain detailed photos, videos, paperwork, and project documentation.
• Assist crews with roofing work and perform skylight finish carpentry, inspections, and repairs when needed.

Requirements

• Residential roofing experience required.
• Strong project management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License required and clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Comfortable towing a 14-foot roofing trailer.
• Able to work safely on steep roofs and lift 75+ lbs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, and CRM software.
• Finish carpentry experience is a plus.
• Spanish-speaking ability is a major plus.

Schedule

• Roofing crews begin every day at 7:00 AM.
• Most projects finish between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, depending on job size, complexity, weather, and location.
• Normal schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays depending on crew and project needs.
• Overtime available, with an average of 50-60 hours per week.
• Flexibility and willingness to work long hours when necessary to complete the job are expected.
