About the Role

The Restoration Project Manager oversees all assigned restoration projects, including temporary labor selection, equipment procurement, on-site management, paperwork accuracy, and quality control. This role involves close collaboration with occupants and property owners throughout the restoration process to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Field Management

  • Directly supervise Restoration Technician Team and respond to large losses with the first responder team.
  • Recruit and manage temporary labor sources in coordination with the Project Coordinator.
  • Oversee all commercial and residential large-loss restoration projects.
  • Ensure demolition is clean, complete, and ready for rebuild.
  • Conduct safety toolbox talks and ensure compliance with BluSky safety policies.
  • Manage sign-in sheets for all Time and Material projects.
  • Adhere to OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Ensure project work meets industry standards for workmanship.
  • Directly supervise BluSky and temporary labor personnel as required.
  • Adhere to company Best Practices and provide high-level customer service.
  • Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.

Office/Shop Management

  • Review and monitor project-related paperwork.
  • Ensure subcontractors and temporary labor operate under subcontract agreements.
  • Approve or reject invoices with proper communication to the Project Accountant.
  • Develop and update project schedules as needed.
  • Monitor and approve employee timecard input.
  • Conduct monthly Game Plan meetings with direct reports.
  • Ensure IICRC training is provided and up to date for all Technician personnel.
  • Hold team meetings, including weekly training and equipment checks.
  • Serve as direct report for Shop Manager.
  • Ensure equipment is in working condition and ready for deployment.
  • Manage and maintain updated equipment inventory lists monthly.
  • Ensure vehicles are stocked per BluSky specifications.
  • Direct, mentor, and train Technician personnel.
  • Participate in BluSky’s emergency mitigation on-call management rotation.

Profitability Management

  • Meet or exceed billing, revenue, and profit margin goals.
  • Use temporary labor resources to avoid overtime (excluding after-hours overtime).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of residential and commercial restoration experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of project management experience preferred.
  • IICRC certifications in water and smoke restoration.
  • Ability to travel nationally for emergency and non-emergency losses.
  • Strong communication skills with clients, internal, and external contacts.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The work environment ranges from quiet to moderately loud. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 25–50 pounds and perform duties requiring standing, walking, handling materials, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
