Project Manager
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of complex federal task orders that support Defense Centers for Public Health operations.
- Integrate federal contract management, an understanding of the defense public health mission, staff leadership, customer engagement, and performance accountability to ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality execution under a Firm-Fixed-Price contract.
- Manage scope, priorities, performance expectations, and cost-conscious delivery.
- Serve as the onsite contractor lead for the Aberdeen Proving Ground DCPH task order.
- Manage Cherokee/CNIH personnel and subcontractor/partner personnel to ensure integrated performance across the task order.
- Maintain a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) inventory in real time to be provided to the COR monthly.
- Maintain a mandatory training tracking spreadsheet that ensures all personnel are up to date on required training and provide to the COR monthly.
- Maintain copies of all complete training certificates and provide them to the COR upon request.
- Conduct regular program reviews to ensure accountability in performance of contract-related functions and management of projects, stakeholders and suppliers are in place.
- Provide, on the last business day of each and every week, the status of all contract vacancies.
- Procure on behalf of the customer directly billable supplies, equipment, and services as allowed by TO.
- Lead recurring meetings, status reviews, action-item tracking, customer updates, and internal coordination routines.
- Identify and resolve performance, staffing, customer, contract, administrative, and compliance issues. Ensure contract activities comply with applicable company policies, government requirements, security expectations, and quality standards.
- Participate in CNIH meetings as required; and complete and ensure CNIH Team completion of CFED or CNIH mandatory trainings; execute CFED or CNIH policies as pertains to the CNIH Team.
- Report monthly, or more frequently as required by CNIH leadership, on contract financials, deliverables, staffing, issues, and performance metrics through corporate tools and processes.
- Coordinate and facilitate CNIH-Customer meetings per corporate leadership, processes, and practices (e.g., quarterly meetings, other).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health or similar field.
- Minimum of 8 years of project, program, task-order, or contract-management experience in a federal, military, public-health, scientific, technical, or related environment.
- Must pass pre-employment requirements of Cherokee Federal.
- Master’s degree in public health, Public Health Management, Health Administration, Business Administration, Program Management, or a related field preferred.
- PMP or similar project/program management certification preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in defense public health, military medical, public health surveillance, occupational/environmental health, scientific, or similar mission environment strongly preferred.
- Recent Defense Public Health or Public Health management experience preferred.
- Experience managing subcontractor or partner personnel preferred.
- Experience successfully transitioning task orders preferred.
