About the role
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is expanding its building-related services to better serve the firm’s multi-sector markets. CEC is seeking a Project Manager with experience in building code and life safety reviews, building condition assessment, evaluation of building mechanical and structural systems, and life cycle cost estimating.
Responsibilities
- Property Condition Assessments (PCA) for a variety of building types, including 1-story retail and high-rise towers, warehouse/distribution, and industrial parks.
- Refinance, equity, and capital planning type PCA reports, including immediate repair cost tables, capital reserves cost schedules, and narrative report writing.
- Identification and design of remedial measures to address building system deficiencies, including ADA accessibility reviews and remedial measures.
- Preparation of construction documents (drawings and specifications).
- Construction support services, including construction draw reports and site inspections.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as an Engineer or Architect.
- Architectural license is a plus, but not required.
- LEED accreditation is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) permitting and approvals.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access regulations and remedial work for establishing accessible routes.
Skills
- Proficiency in preparation of construction documents and construction oversight for a variety of industrial and commercial building types.
- Experience with building code and life safety reviews.
- Ability to prepare immediate repair cost tables, capital reserves cost schedules, and narrative report writing.
- Knowledge of life cycle cost estimating.
- Understanding of ADA accessibility regulations and remedial work.
- Experience with construction documents and construction oversight.
