Project Manager / Preconstruction

This role is with a full-service site preparation construction company specializing in site utility construction and earthwork services. Headquartered in Fenton, Missouri, the company operates throughout the Greater St. Louis area and fosters a casual, supportive work environment focused on employee growth and success.

About the role

This is an in-office position; remote work is not available. The role is eligible for bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of site development projects.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee the installation of underground “wet” utilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and client specifications.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively and efficiently.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Communicate actively and effectively with the entire team—from the office to the field—to ensure overall project success.
• Drive innovative solutions to complex challenges.
• Attend industry meetings, events, and professional training courses.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on site development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (strongly preferred).
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects involving underground utilities and earthwork services.
• Preferred experience in preconstruction/estimating to support a comprehensive approach to the project lifecycle.
• A passion for, and commitment to, continuous learning and professional development.
