About the Role
Kimley-Horn is seeking a motivated Project Manager/Project Lead to join our Power Delivery practice in Fort Mill, SC. The successful candidate will assist the practice specializing in Power Delivery (transmission, substation, and/or power studies) engineering services, with an entrepreneurial spirit to create a vision for growth.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate or direct development, energy assessment, engineering, or construction activities to ensure project needs and objectives are met.
- Provide leadership with integrity and sound business principles, including vision, business planning, and strategy.
- Establish goals and build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Foster open communication with partners and team members.
- Grow and lead a Power Delivery practice.
- Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, and mentor team members.
- Act as a positive leader and mentor within the organization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience with power delivery, transmission line, or related projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from a program accredited by ABET.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Familiarity with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices for power delivery projects.
- Strong technical skills in RISA 3D, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Excel, and/or GIS.
- Business development and marketing experience, including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work.
- Ability to communicate positively at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff effectively in a positive manner.
- Proven track record of managing Power Delivery projects profitably.
