About the role

The Project Manager – Pillar Tools is a key role in Gas Power Engineering focused on the development, sustainment, and advancement of software functionality for product and asset lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Manager Lead for pillar tool development initiatives, such as next generation PLM development, translating business process requirements into implementation, sustainability, and enhancement of software functionality.
  • Drive day-to-day engagement for platform development(s), acting as a focal point with the business to continually raise awareness and alignment, synergizing expectations as changes occur.
  • Manage, coordinate, and drive execution of software development through project tollgates, across business groups where applicable, applying Lean methodologies to identify and act on pain points.
  • Apply appropriate Daily Management, disseminating project KPIs, operational management needs for platform lifecycles, and alignment with Leadership, Stakeholders, and Users.
  • Collaborate with IT and cross-business teams on program needs, plan socialization approach, and going-forward guidance, particularly targeting alignment when faced with lack of consensus.
  • Provide consistent communication rhythm on project(s) status and operational improvements with individual contributors, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Ensure requirements are completed prior to IT production releases.

Requirements

  • 4 + years of Project Management experience in Engineering/Technology and/or Engineering Tools.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

Skills

  • Strong understanding and experience with software development methodologies and supporting tools, preferably with Agile and scrum framework approaches.
  • Industrial Engineering tools knowledge: PLMs (Enovia and/or Teamcenter preferred), basic knowledge of ERPs (SAP, and/or Oracle preferred); familiarity with CAD.
