Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including feasibility, basic design, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and Operational Qualification (OQ).
- Lead large-scale capital projects utilizing Stage Gate project delivery methodology.
- Provide strong project leadership, drive decision-making, and proactively resolve project challenges.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and overall project execution plans.
- Cookordination engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and qualification activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Ensure projects comply with all applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Maintain a strong safety-first culture throughout all phases of project execution.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of construction terminology, project controls, and construction contract administration.
- Oversee project documentation and ensure compliance with closeout documentation standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the project team and executive leadership, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, budget, and schedule.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- PMP certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience managing complex, large-scale capital construction projects.
- Proven experience delivering projects using the Stage Gate process.
- Experience managing multiple large EPCMV (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management, and Validation) projects.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary, cross-functional project teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects involving design, construction, commissioning, qualification, startup, and advanced technology or cleanroom facilities.
- Hands-on experience negotiating and managing contracts with engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and regulatory/government agencies.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
