Project Manager, Performance Innovation
About the role
Under limited supervision, you will facilitate and manage departmental and organizational projects, providing support and expertise in planning, development, and coordination. This includes operationalizing project plans by gathering information, identifying and collaborating with key stakeholders, and synthesizing highly complex information. You will develop systematic, sustainable processes and establish their structural foundations, serving as a key resource for communication, project planning, data management, and process improvement initiatives.
You will autonomously facilitate and operationalize projects to achieve established goals while considering all stakeholders. This involves independently standardizing processes, communications, and tracking methods for ongoing project planning, sustainability, and improvement. You will create structure from ambiguous and numerous sources of information and lead project activities such as scope identification, budget planning, and ongoing communication and collaboration with team members.
You will prepare written documents, delegate tasks, monitor and analyze project progress, and interface with key stakeholders throughout the hospital. You will also assess the need for disseminating and retrieving pertinent information, coordinate stakeholder meetings, and compile and synthesize highly complex data for process and outcome reviews. Responsibilities include preparing reports such as graphical representations of data, oral presentations, written reports, and visual presentations, as well as researching and compiling data from internal and external resources to support project plans and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required, or equivalent experience.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in communications, project management, or a related field, required. Healthcare setting preferred.
- Must possess project management certification from PMI or another accrediting agency, or obtain certification within 2 years.
Skills
- Highly effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to relate with all levels of hospital staff and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in standard computer applications, including MS Office suite.
- Understanding and familiarity with quantitative and qualitative data, with the ability to present information to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to understand, analyze, synthesize, and manage highly complex information.
- Critical thinking skills and demonstrated experience in project management, communications, and budget management.
- Ability to work collegially within complex systems, take initiative, and maintain a mature and professional working environment.
- Ability to improvise when faced with immediate deadlines and unprompted changes to project plans.
