Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager: BESS/Energy Storage

Remote position with 100% travel required across TX, NM, AZ, CA, CO, Midwest, and other locations. Rotation schedule: approximately 3 weeks onsite followed by 5 days off. Includes per diem and travel allowance.

About the Role

We are hiring multiple Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to support energy storage (BESS) projects across the U.S. These roles involve full travel to oversee large-scale Energy Storage projects nationwide.

Compensation

Base salary plus three bonus structures:

• 5–12.5% annual bonus
• Approximately 10% project completion bonus
• Additional 5% of base salary paid weekly as a traveler bonus

Qualifications

• 5–15+ years of construction project management experience
• General Contractor (GC) or EPC background preferred
• Experience managing large-scale projects ($100M+)
• Self-perform experience required (50%+ target)
• Strong financial ownership and accountability
• Scheduling experience (P6 or similar tools)
• Energy Storage/BESS experience is a plus but not required
• Open to candidates with heavy civil, industrial, or oil & gas backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through commissioning
• Own project financials, including budget, forecasting, and cost control
• Manage and maintain schedules using P6 or similar tools, and drive recovery plans
• Oversee subcontractors and internal self-perform crews
• Partner with Superintendents on field execution
• Manage risk, change orders, and client communication
• Lead teams of 10–20+ personnel
