Duration: Contract through the end of this year (3 to 4 months) – Extensions will depend on business need
Pay Range: $40 to $50 an hour
About the Role
The Project Manager will lead non-IT business projects and operational initiatives from planning through completion. The role will support business operations through project management, process efficiency, metrics, reporting, and systems management. This position will build and maintain dashboards, manage operational data, track budgets and invoices, and identify opportunities to improve business processes. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate multiple non-IT projects and operational initiatives from planning through completion.
- Develop project plans, timelines, processes, tools, and deliverables while monitoring project progress.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders, project sponsors, internal teams, and external partners to support successful project execution.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, KPIs, metrics, and measurement tools for leadership and business users.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and synthesize operational data and insights for reporting and decision making.
- Track project status, milestones, risks, issues, action items, deliverables, and timelines.
- Manage operational processes related to grants, invoices, contracts, reporting, tracking, and compliance.
- Monitor budgets, financial activity, invoices, and payment status.
- Support database and systems management while maintaining accurate operational records.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce administrative activities.
- Support automation of repetitive data entry and routine operational activities.
- Prepare management, audit, quarterly, and ad hoc reports.
- Investigate and resolve internal inquiries, operational issues, and requests.
- Coordinate partner, vendor, and stakeholder activities while ensuring required processes and criteria are followed.
- Support audits, compliance activities, documentation, and related reporting.
- Provide project updates, metrics, insights, and recommendations to management and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required with 5 or more years of operations experience.
- 5 to 7 years of project management or related business operations experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience managing non-IT business projects through the full project life cycle.
- Experience with operations management and process efficiency.
- Experience building dashboards, reporting tools, metrics, KPIs, or measurement systems.
- Experience with database creation, data management, metrics, and evaluation systems.
- Experience with financial tracking, invoice management, budgeting, or payment processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate information and data into actionable business solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Experience with philanthropic, nonprofit, community engagement, corporate responsibility, employee engagement, or grant management programs.
- Experience with grant management or giving platforms.
- Experience with robotic process automation or workflow automation.
- Experience with AI-enabled reporting, analytics, or predictive tools.
- Experience with ESG reporting and measurement.
- Experience with contracts, grants, donations, or community partner management.
- Experience supporting legal, compliance, or audit stakeholders.
