Position Summary
The Project Manager Nurse Practitioner (PMNP) supports the Gloria J. McNeal Nurse Managed Clinic (GJMNMC) grant-funded initiatives, enhancing quality of care and access to behavioral and primary care services. They oversee clinic operations, manage the Electronic Health Record (HER) System, and collaborate with faculty and staff.
Essential Functions
- Ensure successful completion of all grant-funded activities.
- Avoid delays in quarterly and final reports.
- Maintain ongoing outcomes assessment.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Community Health Administration Coordinator.
- Manage vendor contracts and payments.
- Oversee day-to-day clinic operations.
- Collaborate with project evaluator for data collection and reporting.
Clinic Operations
- Support daily clinic operations.
- Respond to clinic needs and maintain clinic flow.
- Optimize clinic hours and scheduling.
- Manage clinic policies and procedures.
- Support billing and credentialing processes.
Evaluation and Compliance
- Ensure clinical evaluation tools are current.
- Maintain awareness of licensing and scope-of-practice requirements.
- Implement systems for revenue goals, productivity, and clinic efficiency.
Communication and Outreach
- Communicate with clinic staff, providers, patients, and stakeholders.
- Participate in community outreach and attend relevant conferences.
Requirements
- Education: Doctoral degree in healthcare or related field, preferred; Master of Science in Nursing required.
- Licensure & Certification: Current and unencumbered APRN Certification and RN Licensure required; active California furnishing number, NPI, and DEA registration number required; current national and state board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an approved organization.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of healthcare management and leadership experience; at least 5 years of experience in higher education student success programming, grants management, or related work with Hispanic adult learners preferred; experience coordinating or managing federal grant programs preferred; background working in or with communities of color or other underserved populations preferred; evidence of prior experience serving in a nurse faculty position preferred.

Location & Travel
Remote, USA. Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% to ensure clinical practice consistency across all clinic locations.
