Responsibilities
- Provides managerial expertise on contract set-up, organizational management, staffing and client management.
- Responsible for the direction of project planning, budgeting, and establishing critical project objectives.
- Directs business expansion and pursuits into emerging nuclear markets.
- Directs and coordinates activities of multiple disciplines on projects.
- Regularly meets and corresponds with contractors and owner agencies.
- Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key individuals of other organizations, requiring skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
- Oversees proposal development including scope, budget, schedule, and resources.
- Aids in the development of strategies and qualification packages for successful pursuits.
- Assists in contract negotiations and preparation.
- Directs coordination with clients and other external contacts.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members.
- Assesses project and pursuit risks.
- Facilitates go/no-go analyses and decisions.
- Provides advanced technical advice to staff.
- Aids in supervision of staff on major projects.
- Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related degree from an accredited program.
- A minimum of 7 years relevant consulting experience, preferably in nuclear facility design and/or project management, consulting, or program management.
- Licensed professional engineer preferred.
- Ability to be authorized for unescorted access at a U.S. nuclear power generating facility.
- Experience with nuclear plant design, standard design process, plant modification packages, configuration management, and ASME NQA-1 (safety-related) requirements.
- Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, related to engineering and constructing nuclear facilities.
- Expert experience in client and business development.
- Expert experience in project management including planning, design team coordination and communication, budgeting, schedule management, and client coordination.
- Expert experience in proposal development.
- Experience in contract negotiations.
- Excellent facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated financial success on completed projects.
- Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage.
- Ability to travel.
- Excellent planning and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and able to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools including the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent.
Pay
Compensation: $140,000.00 - $350,000.00 Yearly
