About the Role
Program management involves identifying and coordinating the interdependencies among projects, products, and other important strategic initiatives across an organization. This includes overseeing the whole program, which could be split into sub-projects managed by different project managers, and managing the interaction of different project managers and teams to deliver successful program outcomes.
In this role, you will take a high-level view of the entire program and strategically guide project managers to ensure they are all working effectively toward the program’s objectives. The position has a preference for the employee to reside on the East Coast.
Responsibilities
- Implement programs within given budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Ensure customer satisfaction in service implementation and efficiency in delivery of programs.
- Follow the Product Lifecycle (PLC) process landscape and compliance requirements.
- Take accountability and responsibility for assigned process roles, including spending budgeted time on planned tasks.
- Document all steps, decisions, and checklists in the Product Lifecycle.
- Develop and improve the PLC process (Senior level).
- Onboard and train new Program Managers (Senior level).
- Daily program management throughout the program/product lifecycle.
- Define the program governance and plan the overall program while monitoring progress.
- Define cross-functional interfaces and manage/utilize resources across projects.
- Coordinate program time schedules and manage the program’s budget.
- Manage overlapping program risks and issues, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate the program and its interdependencies.
- Manage stakeholders’ communication and maintain/manage Workflow Approvals (PLC Gates).
- Define new process steps, improvements, automations, and tools (Senior level).
- Lead a group of Program Managers (Senior level) and align deliverables to the program’s outcome.
- Manage the main program documents and common change management.
- Monitor performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource additions.
- Investigate facts and develop solutions to problems during the design and planning phases.
- Contribute to and liaise with product management, supply chain management, production, marketing, engineering, and sales.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with program activities, and develop contingency plans to address potential challenges or delays.
- Manage own productivity as well as that of other program managers and stakeholders (Senior duties).
- Drive implementation of new tools, educate stakeholders and program managers, and develop trainings within Utimaco Academy (Senior duties).
- Drive and manage time reporting, including tool and process support for all relevant stakeholders in the PLC process (Senior duties).
