Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, drainage systems, water distribution, sanitary sewer systems, and capital improvement programs
- Serve as Project Manager responsible for scope, schedule, budget, and overall project delivery
- Prepare, review, and oversee engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and construction documents in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Oversee the development of plans, profiles, and construction details using design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Coverge multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and subconsultants, to ensure successful project execution
- Act as primary point of contact for municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and utility providers
- Lead client meetings, public presentations, and coordination meetings with stakeholders
- Oversee review of shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals during construction administration
- Provide senior-level construction support, including field visits and resolution of technical issues
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost estimates
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and agency requirements
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineering staff, fostering professional development and technical growth
- Support business development efforts and contribute to proposal preparation as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in municipal engineering or public infrastructure design and delivery
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New Jersey required
- Proven experience managing municipal infrastructure projects from concept through construction
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of municipal design standards, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to clients and public agencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets simultaneously
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring engineering staff
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 to $155,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
