Project Manager - Municipal

About the role

Atwell, LLC is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager with a strong background in government projects to lead high impact projects. This position offers the opportunity to shape communities through thoughtful design and manage challenging, high-profile projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead full cycle project delivery from proposal to closeout for government projects
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and leadership to ensure success, profitability, and technical excellence
• Oversee project budgets, proposals, contracts, scopes, and schedules
• Mentor and direct project teams; promote internal communication and knowledge sharing
• Maintain strong client relationships and represent Atwell in all external communications
• Tackle complex engineering and permitting challenges with the autonomy to influence project direction and outcomes

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• 8 plus years of experience in government projects or land development
• Deep understanding of local development codes, permitting processes, and construction practices
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and client expectations

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Project management software proficiency (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project)
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

$95,000 USD - $140,000 USD
