Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC) is seeking a Project Manager to oversee engine shop visits and repair events, ensuring compliance with FAA, EASA, and WLFC requirements. This role serves as the primary interface between MROs and WLFC throughout the repair process.

About the Role

The Project Manager coordinates all aspects of engine shop visits, including proposals, asset evaluations, purchase orders, parts sourcing, on-site reviews, and invoice approvals. Travel to engine locations is required to manage repairs, review scrap material, and liaise with MRO Customer Service Managers. This position reports administratively to the VP of MRO Technical Support.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary coordinator with MROs, WLFC Technical Records, and senior management to facilitate engine repair events.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for MRO shop visit events.
  • Follow WLFC Technical Department Procedures to ensure compliance during engine repairs.
  • Ensure work performed meets FAA, EASA, and WLFC requirements.
  • Delegate and oversee test cell runs to verify engine performance meets lease return requirements; coordinate resolutions for performance issues.
  • Delegate and oversee post-test borescope inspections; resolve discrepancies with the MRO and OEM.
  • Conduct detailed engine inventories at shop visit completion; work with WLFC Technical Records to certify installed units and replace missing parts cost-effectively.
  • Prepare workscope and obtain cost estimates from MROs.
  • Provide MROs with all required data for shop visits.
  • Manage repairs to ensure compliance with workscope and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review invoices and manage disputes.
  • Dispose of unserviceable material.
  • Ensure proper engine packaging for shipment.
  • Support additional technical functions for the company portfolio as needed.
  • Attend industry conferences to stay current on engine programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A&P license or EASA Part 66 License.
  • 5+ years of airline and/or engine shop experience.
  • Experience with the following engine types: CFM56 Series (all), PW 4000 94” and 100”, CF6-80, CF34-10 Series, Trent 700 and 1000 series, LEAP-1A, LEAP-1B, GEnx, GE90, V2500-A5, and PW GTF series.
  • Strong background in engine records, including knowledge of Life Limited Parts status reports (Chapter 5) and Airworthiness Directive status reports.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting ECM data for all engine types.
  • Test cell, engine repair and overhaul, and borescope experience.
  • Ability to travel globally on short notice for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse management levels and cultures.

Schedule

Frequent travel required.
