We are looking for a tenacious MRO Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary architect of our supplier relationships, challenging repair schemes, optimizing rotable pools, and ensuring our fleet remains mission-ready. If you have a sharp eye for financial statements and the grit to hold vendors accountable to the highest standards of performance and turnaround time, we want to hear from you.

Your working environment

A suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is home to Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters, where we have more than 1,000 employees. You may see a custom Airbus helicopter dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys flying during home games.

Responsibilities

  • Create service orders and purchase orders as required.
  • Assist procurement in establishing targeted supplier’s service level agreements.
  • Coordinate quality discrepancies resolution with external suppliers.
  • Conduct routine performance evaluations and define improvement plans with external suppliers/vendors to recover targeted performance (KPIs).

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years in MRO, Vendor management, or procurement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment.
  • SAP experience in SD, MM, WM, or SD environment preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of cross-cultural/global issues.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Vision: Able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, read documents, reports, and engineering drawings. Daily
  • Hearing: Able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily
  • Speaking: Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information, and participate in communications. Daily
  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate personal computer, telephone, copiers, fax machine, and related office equipment, and use electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors. Regularly
  • Carrying: Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Minimally
  • Lifting: Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Minimally
  • Pushing/Pulling: Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings or working on the computer. Daily
  • Squatting/Kneeling: Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Regularly
  • Travel: Able to travel independently and at short notice. Very minimal
  • Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits; appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
