Job Summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is a leading provider of remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars. They are seeking a Project Manager for their MQ-9B SkyGuardian Global Support Solution (SGSS) team based in Poway, CA, supporting East Asia programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development of project plans and manage resources to ensure project schedules, budgets, quality, and specifications are met.
  • Maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to meet set goals.
  • Identify and address program issues, developing solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Create progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Communicate program expectations to team members and stakeholders effectively.
  • Collaborate with GA-ASI functional areas and international program offices to coordinate planning, proposal development, and contract award.
  • Participate in or lead segments of the request for proposal (RFP) process to generate new business.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to assign and prioritize tasks focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products and/or services.
  • Administer and execute policies, processes, and procedures impacting the assigned project.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations.
  • Ensure work is performed safely according to established operating procedures and practices.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and nine or more years of progressively complex experience in project administration, with at least three years in project management.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of project management processes, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • Must possess: Ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects; ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions to complex problems; strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
