Job Summary
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is a leading provider of remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars. The position involves coordinating engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across various disciplines and ensuring clear communication and follow-through among functional teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Aid in developing and executing program plans to ensure attainment of schedule, budget, quality, and specification goals.
- Manage and monitor program schedules, timelines, milestones, and assigned resources from planning through delivery.
- Coordinate departmental and cross-functional teams to assign, prioritize, and track tasks related to product and service delivery.
- Support engineering teams in design concepts, technical criteria, development activities, testing, and integration efforts.
- Apply Earned Value Management principles by reviewing cost, schedule, and performance data, identifying variances, and communicating potential impacts to leadership.
- Identify and assess program issues, develop recommendations, and support resolution plans, including resource reallocation or adjustments to technical execution plans.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, action trackers, and status updates for program management and leadership review.
- Provide direction and guidance to employees working on assigned program tasks.
- Administer and execute policies, processes, and procedures impacting the assigned program.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and at least eleven years of progressively complex experience in project administration, with at least five years in project management.
- Must have an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management.
- Must demonstrate the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
- Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Must possess: Ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects; ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data, and develop solutions to non-routine matters; strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and lead in a team environment.
