Project Manager - Mount Jewett

About the role

This role provides project leadership and strategic direction to the facility using Georgia-Pacific's Principle Based Management™ Framework. The position involves developing and managing project scopes, organizing and executing various project phases, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop investment proposals, scopes of work, estimates, execution plans, and related materials
• Organize and execute design, construction/installation, commissioning, start-up, and documentation activities
• Track project costs and report progress
• Lead multi-discipline teams, external engineering firms, and vendors
• Ensure capable field technical support and construction management resources are in place
• Partner closely with purchasing and procurement resources
• Ensure compliance with internal and external safety and environmental standards and practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or technical field
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry
• A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience successfully leading and implementing engineering projects
• Able and willing to travel up to 15% of the time to support other MDF facilities (project dependent)

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Project software
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software
• Experience with Ecosys project management software
• Experience in the MDF industry
• 7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing industry
• PMP Certification
