Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create a communication plan, make contact lists, and prepare schedules.
  • Coordinate the schedules of all trades involved with the furniture.
  • Maintain schedules for delays or changes during the furniture manufacturing process.
  • Verify packing lists with the order upon shipment to ensure the installation team has everything they need.
  • Supervise the installation process, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Walk the space with the client and prepare a punch list of unresolved items.

Furniture Integration Planning

  • Coordination of pre-installation and ongoing meetings.
  • Identification and documentation of project scope.
  • Planning and integration of resources.
  • Development of project timelines and schedules.
  • Planning for delivery and installation.
  • Audit of specifications and orders.
  • Coordination for permits and certificates of insurance.

Scheduling, Monitoring, and Tracking

  • Development of project timelines.
  • Tracking and coordination of product manufacturing.
  • Scheduling of products, deliveries, and installations.
  • Coordination with subcontractors.
  • Pre-installation site inspections.
  • Verification and coordination of electrical/data access points.
  • Coordination with building management.
  • Management of furniture installation.
  • Assessment of site conditions.
  • Mapping of delivery and installation access.

Delivery and installation access mapping

  • On-site supervision and coordination of delivery and installation.
  • Resolution of project issues.
  • Documentation and coordination of field change orders.

Post-installation and Project Closeout

  • Conducting an installation walk-through.
  • Reporting and coordinating open issues.
  • Coordinating project closeout.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel to job sites as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
