Project Manager - Mission Critical (Chicago)

About the role

Burns & McDonnell is a global engineering and construction firm with a strong presence in mission-critical data center projects. The Mission Critical team, ranked #2 by ENR in 2023, is seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate engineering projects in this dynamic and growing sector.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct engineering projects, ensuring safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
• Ensure adherence to project review processes and quality control guidelines.
• Establish project teams, coordinate activities among multiple disciplines, and optimize staff utilization.
• Manage and coordinate activities across various engineering disciplines on mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years related experience, including 3 years of project management experience in the mission critical industry.
• Progressive design and project management responsibilities.
• Leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of devising new approaches to problems and previous consulting experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer certification strongly preferred.

Pay

$150,000.00 - $375,000.00 yearly
