About the role
Responsible for overseeing the closure planning process for mine sites, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement closure plans for mine sites
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental standards
- Manage stakeholder engagement activities related to mine closure
- Conduct site assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Prepare and present closure plan reports to stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mine closure or environmental management
- Experience with regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations relevant to mining
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
