About the role

Responsible for overseeing the closure planning process for mine sites, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement closure plans for mine sites
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental standards
  • Manage stakeholder engagement activities related to mine closure
  • Conduct site assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and present closure plan reports to stakeholders and regulatory bodies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mine closure or environmental management
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations relevant to mining
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
