About the role

The Michels Mission Critical team manages phases or multiple smaller projects to achieve project goals within time and budget constraints. Key responsibilities include planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to ensure profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to meet project goals within time and budget constraints.
  • Manage a phase of a larger project or multiple smaller projects.
  • Ensure profitable operations of designated projects.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
  • Anticipate and meet internal and external customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering or related field and 5+ years of related experience in construction.
  • PM experience and experience with large, multi-scope construction builds.
  • Experience supporting data center site development or heavy civil construction associated with data center campuses or similar large-scale site developments.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings and civil plans.
  • Experience working in Procore or similar construction management platforms.
  • Ability to identify deliverables, work with internal team members to generate proposal documents, and provide quality reviews before customer deadlines.
  • Ability to review technical documents, coordinate with internal teams, and support project-specific planning and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record.
  • Available to work onsite and travel up to 50%.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive relationship building with clients and general/sub-contractors.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver proposals.
  • Basic takeoffs from plans.
  • PE or Engineering experience (not required).
