Job Summary

The Project Manager at Jim Myers & Sons Inc. (JMS) is responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects from project handoff through commissioning and closeout. This role serves as the primary execution leader for assigned projects and is accountable for maintaining schedule integrity, protecting project margin, coordinating cross-functional execution activities, and ensuring adherence to JMS Key Milestone Guidelines.

Responsibilities

Own the full project lifecycle including kickoff, scheduling, execution, shipment, commissioning, and project closeout.

Lead project execution activities in alignment with JMS Key Milestone Guidelines and business unit objectives.

Develop, maintain, and actively manage project schedules, milestone dates, and execution priorities to support on-time delivery.

Qualifications, Desired Experience, And Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience within manufacturing, engineered equipment, construction, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project financial management including forecasting, EACs, cost control, and margin management.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional execution teams in operational and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with ERP and project management systems such as Epicor, Wrike, or similar platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to proactively manage schedules, communicate risks, and drive accountability across project stakeholders.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required;
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
