The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Project Development: Develop comprehensive plans that include scope, timeline, budget, and resources, ensuring alignment with both client requirements and company objectives.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, promoting collaboration and clear communication.
  • Oversee the budget, monitor project expenses, and implement cost control measures to ensure projects stay within the financial targets.
  • Create and manage project schedules. Identify critical path tasks and adjust as necessary to ensure timely project completion.
  • Lead turnover to production.
  • Ensure all work meets industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular inspections and quality control measures to maintain high standards.
  • Identify potential risks to project timelines, costs, and quality. Develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with clients to provide updates and address concerns while managing client expectations.
  • Document all phases of a project including contracts, change orders, meeting minutes, and progress reports. Report project status to management and other stakeholders regularly.
  • Build submittal logs.
  • Build schedule of values for billing.
  • Write all RFIs.
  • Price all change orders and maintain change order logs in Sage.
  • Make adjustments in accounting software as project progresses.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 5-8 years of project management experience in the construction industry is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, as well as proficiency in project management software.
