About the role
Our client, a leading energy and natural gas company, is looking for a Project Manager – Marketing & Strategic Initiatives for their Portland, OR location. In this role, you will lead multiple concurrent marketing and strategic projects from planning through execution, managing timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills along with an understanding of marketing campaigns, including digital, social, email, events, and PR.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, resources, deliverables, and outcomes across multiple concurrent projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive projects forward and maintain alignment.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes; escalate challenges as needed.
- Translate business needs into clear project objectives, roadmaps, and actionable plans.
- Monitor project performance, quality, budgets, and delivery metrics; communicate status to stakeholders and leadership.
- Facilitate meetings, manage priorities, and navigate difficult conversations across teams.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns across the full lifecycle, from brief and creative development through production, launch, and measurement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of project management experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Strong experience managing project timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, solve problems, and make decisions in a cross-functional environment.
- Experience translating business requirements into actionable project plans and objectives.
- Understanding of marketing campaign lifecycles and cross-channel marketing; experience with digital, social, email, events, or PR preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience with business process improvement and/or change management preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
- Utility experience preferred, but not required.
- PMI or equivalent project management certification preferred.
Pay Range: $60–$75 / Hour
Location: Portland, OR – Hybrid; local candidates willing to work onsite 2 days/week
Contract Duration: 6 Months
