Independent Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently performs moderately difficult engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Performs inspection work and directs inspection staff on waterfront facility assessment projects.
  • Field work required, which could include nights and weekends.
  • Prepares and oversees complete engineering plan and report development.
  • Performs construction support services, in the office and field, to ensure conformance with design plans and specifications.
  • Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
  • Maintains project budgets and works directly with clients to ensure accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Aids in proposal preparation, project scoping, estimating project costs, project planning, and project quality.
  • Directs and supervises the work of entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.
