Independent Duties and Responsibilities
- Independently performs moderately difficult engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
- Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Performs inspection work and directs inspection staff on waterfront facility assessment projects.
- Field work required, which could include nights and weekends.
- Prepares and oversees complete engineering plan and report development.
- Performs construction support services, in the office and field, to ensure conformance with design plans and specifications.
- Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
- Maintains project budgets and works directly with clients to ensure accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.
- Aids in proposal preparation, project scoping, estimating project costs, project planning, and project quality.
- Directs and supervises the work of entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.
