Responsibilities
- Review contract documents/drawings and coordinate detailing efforts to ensure cost-effective and efficient product and service supply.
- Total contract management of each project, including coordination of detailing, scheduling, delivery, and costs of products and services using company business systems, industry standards, and other company resources.
- Oversee efforts to fulfill contractual obligations on assigned projects.
- Cookordination of project requirements with contractor’s representative, rebar installer, engineer, or architect using Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s contract management guidelines.
- Schedule detailing and delivery of required products and services with contractor, detailers, and Nucor Rebar Fabrication production staff as needed.
- Review changes to the project to determine their scope, ensure accuracy, and process appropriate documentation in accordance with company change order procedures.
- Aid in the change order process leading to customer acceptance.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to relevant staff, workers, and customers.
- Represent the company in project meetings as needed.
- Work with Detailing Manager to control financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests and maintain good customer relationships.
- Formulate reports concerning work progress, costs, and scheduling.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Branch Manager.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated construction project management experience or at least ten years of reinforcing steel sales, detailing, fabrication, placing, or related steel industry experience.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of buildings or other structures; general business knowledge; and an understanding of how Nucor makes money.
- Problem-solving and judgment/judgment making skills.

Selection Criteria

Special Demands
- Occasional travel and job site visits may be required.
- PPE must be worn when on the worksite, including safety shoes, glasses, hard hats, gloves, hearing protection, etc.
- Work schedule may include hours beyond the normal business day.
- Typical office activities: Walking, sitting, standing, bending, using hands to operate objects, tools, computers, and other electronic equipment.
- Lifting/handling computers and related equipment.
- Moderate noise level.
