Project Manager – Landscape Architecture & Planning | Orlando, FL and Tampa, FL | Bohler
About the role
Bohler’s Orlando and Tampa offices are looking for a Project Manager to join their Landscape Architecture and Planning team. This role will involve leading projects across landscape architecture, planning, and land development, managing work from early strategy through agency approvals, and coordinating with clients, internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Establish planning and landscape architecture direction on multidisciplinary projects
- Manage the development of drawings, exhibits, calculations, and supporting materials
- Oversee resource planning, forecasting, and staff utilization
- Communicate with clients, internal teams, reviewing agencies, and project partners
- Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and support construction administration
- Lead client management, ensuring alignment, coordination, and satisfaction
- Manage financial components, including contracts, budgets, and change orders
- Prepare and review proposals, scopes, and fee structures
- Contribute to business development through networking and relationship-building
- Maintain visibility and leadership within civic, political, professional, and industry organizations
- Develop and mentor staff through ongoing guidance, feedback, and performance discussions
- Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with standards, expectations, and QA/QC processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Planning
- 10+ years of experience in private-sector landscape architecture and land development
- Licensed Landscape Architect (ASLA) required
- Expertise with AutoCAD (Civil3D), Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and SketchUp
- Strong capability in budgets, contracts, and project financial management
- Able to manage multiple teams, deadlines, and fast-paced project demands
- Clear, confident written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
- High energy, flexibility, and leadership in dynamic environments
- Experience integrating and directing multidisciplinary design teams
