About the role

As a Project Manager on the Perkins&Will team, your skills and passion will drive the successful execution of projects while adhering to firm and project goals, standards of excellence, and living design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and execute all aspects of the design process, contributing proactively to project success while maintaining firm and project standards.
  • Manage all aspects of projects to ensure efficient execution within scope and budget.
  • Lead project teams, fostering collaboration, communication, and direction to inspire high performance and successful project delivery.
  • Participate in developing and validating project scope, fee, budget, and services during marketing and contract development.
  • Provide complete and timely communication of project information to clients and the project team.
  • Manage projects using the Deltek Project Management system, including work plans, team assignments, budgets, schedules, fees, and change notices.
  • Work with the Project Architect to resolve scheduling conflicts due to project changes.
  • Maintain ongoing communication through team meetings, minutes, and update memos.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines to ensure effective communication.
  • Monitor construction administration during the construction phase.
  • Understand and respond to technical implications and design decisions.
  • Participate in marketing opportunities and develop client relationships for continuing business.
  • Monitor client and technical issues to manage risk and minimize liability.
  • Review work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and document compliance with the Project Delivery Manual.
  • Coordinate staffing resources with the Operations Director.
  • Mentor staff.

Qualifications

  • LEED GA certification within 6 months of hire
  • Professional accreditation in one area of Living Design (e.g., LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation)
  • Architectural license or Interior Design license/certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related discipline (required)
