About the role
As a Project Manager on the Perkins&Will team, your skills and passion will drive the successful execution of projects while adhering to firm and project goals, standards of excellence, and living design principles.
Responsibilities
- Understand and execute all aspects of the design process, contributing proactively to project success while maintaining firm and project standards.
- Manage all aspects of projects to ensure efficient execution within scope and budget.
- Lead project teams, fostering collaboration, communication, and direction to inspire high performance and successful project delivery.
- Participate in developing and validating project scope, fee, budget, and services during marketing and contract development.
- Provide complete and timely communication of project information to clients and the project team.
- Manage projects using the Deltek Project Management system, including work plans, team assignments, budgets, schedules, fees, and change notices.
- Work with the Project Architect to resolve scheduling conflicts due to project changes.
- Maintain ongoing communication through team meetings, minutes, and update memos.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines to ensure effective communication.
- Monitor construction administration during the construction phase.
- Understand and respond to technical implications and design decisions.
- Participate in marketing opportunities and develop client relationships for continuing business.
- Monitor client and technical issues to manage risk and minimize liability.
- Review work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and document compliance with the Project Delivery Manual.
- Coordinate staffing resources with the Operations Director.
- Mentor staff.

Qualifications
- LEED GA certification within 6 months of hire
- Professional accreditation in one area of Living Design (e.g., LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation)
- Architectural license or Interior Design license/certification
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related discipline (required)
