About the role

Under the direction of the Manager, this position leads the organization’s prioritized initiatives, managing project resources, schedules, financials, change, and risks to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet business goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and oversees multiple medium and large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Develops comprehensive project plans including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Manages all phases of project initiatives using project management methodology, monitoring project health, schedules, budget, resources, change, and risk.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Guides business units in identifying and developing solutions for challenges and opportunities, including business process reengineering, requirements definition, planning, funding approval, and risk mitigation.
  • Proactively builds trusted relationships with sponsors and stakeholders, managing expectations around scope and value.
  • Leads cross-functional teams through meaningful change using project management methodology, including stakeholder management, communication, strategic planning, and active management of scope, quality, schedule, risk, and budget.
  • Motivates project teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Supports team members in overcoming challenges and achieving project milestones.
  • Ensures timely completion of all project tasks and deliverables within scope, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Defines and manages quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project and team success.
  • Tracks project progress against metrics and implements corrective actions when necessary.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and mitigates potential risks.
  • Verbally communicates and facilitates meetings, presentations, and project interactions.
  • Crafts high-quality, precise written communications, including project deliverables aligned with Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) standards.
  • Monitors and communicates project progress throughout the project lifecycle to all stakeholders.
  • Develops, reviews, and updates project management documentation and templates annually.
  • Assists in enhancing project management processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Seeks feedback on personal performance from project teams, peers, managers, and business partners.
  • Conducts post-project reviews and drives lessons learned across the organization.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
  • Desired certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
  • Minimum of 3 to 7 years of project management experience and/or business process management responsibility in positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Proven record of managing medium and large-scale complex projects with an IT focus.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Banking/financial industry or related field preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and collaborative management style.
  • Effective conflict management, negotiating, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and acquiring new skills outside of comfort zone.
  • Able to work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting roles and responsibilities.
  • Technically creative, open-minded, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work under indirect supervision with an above-average understanding of information technology topics.
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule and flexible hours, including holidays, weekends, and evenings as needed.
  • Able to commute as necessary.

Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies and procedures, including those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and USA PATRIOT Act.
